Dear Dr. Gupta,
We extend our appreciation to the New York State Radiological Society for participating in the ACR Chapter Grant Program. After reviewing all the submissions, we are pleased to announce that your chapter has been selected to receive a $5,000 grant for the Video Clips on Radiologists and Medical Physicists proposal. The Chapter Grant Subcommittee requests that once the project is complete, you consider sharing the videos and how-to tips with other chapters for a broad impact. Please email Kristin Barnard at kbarnard@acr.org to coordinate this request.
Your chapter will be recognized at the virtual ACR 2021 meeting. Grant funds will be disbursed the first week of June with final reports due November 1, 2021.
Congratulations on your grant award and once again thank you for your participation in the Chapter Grant Program.
Sincerely,
Timothy L. Swan, MD, FACR
Chair, Chapter Grant Subcommittee
The New York State Radiological Society (NYSRS) condemns acts of racism, misogyny and violence which are destructive to the communities that radiologists serve. Acts of hate against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) have been escalating in New York and across the nation.
NYSRS stands in solidarity with the AAPI community against all forms of racial discrimination and gender-based violence. The NYSRS continues to support its commitment to Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) and urges its members to consider taking action through the following means:

The format will follow previous years formats, where assembled physicians and allies will hear from legislative leaders in the morning (this year via Zoom), and then have virtual visits with their respective legislators in the afternoon.
With the Governor and the State Legislature needing to create tens of billions of savings to the State Budget, any number of healthcare programs of interest to physicians could be on the table, not to mention concerns with the numerous proposals to inappropriately expand the scope of practice for various n on-physicians as well as numerous proposals to mandate how physicians provide care to their patients.
Following the morning program, physician and allied groups will meet with legislators and their staff!
