2026 Fall All-Members Meeting

Opportunistic Screening in Radiology

NYSRS members with the society banner at the 2026 Fall All-Members Meeting

Our Fall All-Members Meeting, held in Manhattan and online, focused on opportunistic screening — getting more value from imaging studies patients already receive. The meeting also marked a leadership transition: we welcomed Dr. Destounis as NYSRS President and thanked Dr. Douglas Mintz for his leadership over the past year. Recordings of all three talks are below.

Clinical Resource: Reporting Incidental Coronary Artery Calcium

Following her presentation, Pamela T. Johnson, MD FACR shared the following resource for radiologists.

Reporting incidental coronary artery calcium (CAC) is recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA) and American College of Cardiology (ACC) and is supported by a Medicare radiology quality measure. Radiologists can cite the 2026 ACC/AHA dyslipidemia guideline in their reports to help referring clinicians understand the significance of incidental CAC and the related management recommendations.
