Dr. Stamatia “Toula” Destounis is the New York State Radiological Society representative to the 2026 Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) House of Delegates.
Dr. Destounis is a breast imager at Elizabeth Wende Breast Care in Rochester, NY and currently serves as the president-elect of the NYSRS. She has made significant contributions to radiology through her work as Chair of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Commission, and as a member of the ACR Board of Chancellors.
Her dedication to advancing breast cancer detection and patient care has earned her numerous awards, including the National American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery Award of Excellence; the Rochester Business Journal Health Care Achievement Award; and the American Cancer Society’s Mary Grace Ryan Pillar of Hope Award.
The 2026 MSSNY House of Delegates will be held virtually and in-person at the Hyatt Regency Rochester and Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center in Rochester, NY, from March 27th to March 29th.
