Call for Applications: NYSRS RFS Secretary/Treasurer Position

The New York State Radiological Society Resident and Fellow Section (NYSRS RFS) is accepting applications from first-year residents (R1) for the Secretary/Treasurer position within the RFS.  If you are hard-working, have a passion for organized radiology, and are interested in being involved with the state society, please send the following to Dr. Kimberly Feigin at feigink@mskcc.org by Saturday, September 28, 2024:
  • CV
  • Letter of recommendation from your Program Director
  • A short description of why you feel qualified for the position (maximum 1 page)
 The Secretary/Treasurer succeeds the Vice President in their 2nd year, and becomes President of the RFS in their 3rd year.  The main responsibilities of the secretary/treasurer are to work with the other RFS officers to:
  • Present the RFS report at quarterly NYSRS board meetings in New York City (quarterly attendance is expected).
  • Organize resident involvement in the annual American College of Radiology (ACR) meeting, Capitol Hill visit, and NYSRS Fellows’ dinner in Washington, DC.
  • Plan and organize the annual resident Summer Social and various other events such as the annual resident Career Workshop.
  • Identify interested residents and help them become involved in organized radiology.
As an officer of the NYSRS RFS, you will receive society support to attend the annual ACR meeting, receive priority to attend the Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) Summit, and participate in Lobby Days at the State and National Level.
 
The NYSRS is the NY state chapter of the ACR.
