RADPAC End of Year Letter

At the end of last year, RADPAC and the ACR’s GR Department:

  • succeeded in mitigating proposed Evaluation Management (E/M) cuts that saved hundreds of millions of dollars to radiology
  • secured favorable language for providers in the Surprise Medical Billing (SMB) law

Both issues have popped up again 👀 and RADPAC is doubling down on its efforts to achieve successful outcomes before the end of this year. And, they are working on passing Prior Authorization legislation.

To learn more, click E/M fightSurprise Medical Billing, and Prior Authorization.

Of course, given the way the process “works” in DC, RADPAC’s opportunities to connect with Members of Congress and educate them on these pressing issues depends on resources!

Compared to last year, NY state is down in both:

  • # of contributors (50 in 2021 vs. 88 in 2020) and
  • % of contributors among NYSRS members (3% in 2021 vs. 6% in 2020).

RADPAC’s goal is for ALL chapters to strive towards 20% contribution participation!

You can support RADPAC’s efforts to protect the future of our profession by contributing to RADPAC here! . . . and NOW!!!

RADPAC thanks Windsong Radiology Group – the only practice in New York (so far) to make a group contribution . . . Please invite your group to join Windsong in their support of RADPAC.

. . . and please join me in giving your individual support today!

With best personal regards for a healthy and happy Thanksgiving and holiday season. . .

Cheers,
