Renew Your Membership

It's *that* time of year again!

Help us win the ACR Chapter Challenge and make sure you've renewed your @RadiologyACR membership!

We want to start by thanking you for your previous support.  The American College of Radiology (ACR) has recently informed us, the New York Radiological Society (NYSRS), that your ACR and NYSRS membership was not renewed this year.  We hope this is an oversight.

With the help of members like you, the New York Radiological Society has achieved several important advocacy goals that affect radiologists in our home state of New York and radiologists across the country.  Here is a link to our most recent
NYSRS Newsletter.

A few key achievements and milestones from this year that affect your practices in New York are:
1.   Successfully worked with MSSNY to lobby Governor Hochul to veto the Wrongful Death bill. It has again passed by the NY Legislature, and we will be lobbying her for a second veto.
2.   Successfully lobbied against numerous bills that would have infringed on Radiology by expanding the scope of practice of other specialties and providers
3.   Successfully held our first hybrid post COVID All-Member’s Meeting in April including a thought-provoking presentation from Dr. Ruth Carlos “From DEI to Health Equity.” Twice yearly, we sponsor presentations by experts on issues of current interest, with CME.
4.   We regularly update members on a wide range of clinical and policy subjects, and train future leaders by funding residents and early career radiologists’ attendance at leadership courses.

Additionally, as we celebrate our centennial, the ACR has mitigated Medicare reimbursement cuts, reclaiming an estimated $427M for radiologists in this calendar year.

If renewed by July 15, your membership in ACR and NYSRS will be reinstated without lapse. (Please know that continuous membership in the ACR is considered in applying for ACR Fellowship.)

You can reinstate
online or by calling 800-347-7748 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm ET). The ACR and the NYSRS needs your membership and your voice to continue our advocacy. Please renew today.

Please let me know if I can help answer any questions or if you would like to get more involved in the NYSRS or the ACR. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Bob Pizzutiello, President NYSRS

P.S. If you renewed your 2023 membership prior to the receipt of this message, thank you very much!
